In the beginning of chapter 5 of Mr. Popper Penguins the kids says ¨Mamma! Papa.¨come see what Captain Cook has done.¨My text to word is when I was watching a TV show  and  they said the same thing but it was a boy.

At the beginning Mr. Popper got a penguin. My text-to-self connection was made when Mr.Popper filled the bathtub with cold water this reminded me of when I take a bath and use cold water because I like cold water baths.

Mr. Popper went to bed and I made a text-to-world connection. When Mr.Popper could not sleep because he wanted to learn a word, this reminded me of a commercial I saw. On this commercial someone could not sleep because he wanted to learn how to take care of a dog.

I just read the third chapter of Mr. Popper's Penguin and it was really interesting. If you guys are wondering why I put a picture of a penguin, surprised face, and confused face I will tell you why.

Mr. Popper got a penguin and he was surprised but confused. He was confused because he didn't know why he got a penguin. He was surprised because he thought it was going to be something other than a penguin. The description of the bathtub that the penguin sated in the bathtub with cold water.

Hello everybody! If you guys want to know some stuff about me keep on reading. I am the smallest kid in my family, I have 1 sister that is 14 years old and she's in 8th grade. I also have a brother that is 12 years old and he is in 6th grade. If you guys are wondering how old I am, I'm 9 years old. My favorite foods are pizza, (everybody's favorite- of course) hamburgers, and fries. I have 2 dogs. One dog is a boy and he is named Coki, and the other one is a girl, her name is Carly (I love dogs.) I am a 3rd grader in Denison Elementary School. Here are a couple things about me. I have two sisters, one is bigger than me and one is smaller. Thir names are Lexi and Emi. Lexi looks like me, she is 16. People that know her call me Lexi. Emi loves baby dolls. She is 1 years old. I also have one brother, he is 3. He loves to do things I do, and so does Emi. I have three pets; Zoey, Sofy and, Jack. Jack is our newest dog, he is about 3 and he fights with our cat. Sofy is a black and white cat, she is sometimes mean. She sleeps with us. Lexi is her favorite. Zoey is our first dog I had, she stays at my grandma's house. My grandma has lots of dogs. Gymnastics is my favorite thing to do. My favorite tricks to do are back handsprings, front-handsprings and aerials.

Dance is my second favorite thing to do. I like to do things in the air. These are all stuff about me.

I play with him a lot.  I like playing basketball , soccer, and I love to wrestle with my brother. My dad and my mom does not like it when we wrestle.

I am going to tell you all the fun facts about me. One of the things I like to do is play sports because they are really fun. In school, I like to do math because I like to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Another thing I like to do in school is write because I like doing personal narratives. At home and in school, I like to read because I like Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Matt Christopher's books. Another thing I like to do in Ed Tech or anywhere else is to type because I like how I can type really fast.

Mrs. Velazquez's Fabulous Life

This is all about my life. I am a third grade teacher at Denison Elementary School. I love coming to work and seeing my students each and every day! In my free time, I like to watch Disney movies, play tennis, and make crafts with Leila while trying to keep Choko from making a mess. My husband loves to watch the Broncos, Spurs and San Francisco Giants play, so I spend a lot of time hearing all about these teams during dinner time. My family includes my husband (Reyes), my daughter (Leila), my son (Roy), and our chubby bulldog (Choko). Reyes works as a contractor during the days, Leila gets to spend her days in 3rd grade learning all sorts of new things, Roy hangs out with Mrs. Lorenzen while mom and dad are at work, and Choko naps all day until we all get home.
